Travel Reimbursement Guidelines

Itemized receipts are required for reimbursement and will need to be uploaded to the submission link by Friday, February 9, 2024.

Travel reimbursement requests should be submitted within 30 days (and no more than 60 days) of the conclusion of the event. Reimbursements submitted after the 60 day period will be under review.

• Transportation - costs to and from the event including taxi or ride share service, economy airport parking, mileage, and parking at Emory’s campus are reimbursable with proper documentation.

• Flights - Emory University will reimburse only for Coach/Economy class tickets when continuous flight time (nonstop) is less than four hours. Tickets or upgrades purchased with frequent flyer miles are not reimbursable.

• Meals while traveling - itemized receipts are required for reimbursement. An itemized receipt lists out each time, rather than just the total amount. Restaurants typically provide both receipts. Alcohol should be paid for on a separate check as it will NOT be reimbursed.
