The Candler Foundry
COURSE INFORMATION
Course Dates: June 1 - June 29, 2025
Course Time: Sundays, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM ET (Online)
Course Description
This course explores the economic dimensions of the biblical concept of shalom. We will examine the nature and dimensions of material poverty in the biblical world and how that reality is addressed by various parts of Scripture, from the Law and Prophets to the Gospels and Acts. Emphasis will be placed on how churches can use biblical frameworks to develop more just, effective, and transformative approaches to material poverty in their own communities.
